Michael Jordan Inspired Norman Reedus’ Favorite Kill On ‘The Walking Dead’

Norman Reedus, a star on AMC’s The Walking Dead, has blown up over the last few years as TWD has exploded into network television’s highest-rated show. For anyone who hasn’t seen the program, the premise is simple: kill everything — dead or alive doesn’t make a difference — and try to do it the most gruesome and dazzling way.

Since gathering a cult-like following, Reedus is launching a new show on AMC titled Ride Along With Norman Reedus and is interviewing with some of the biggest names in TV to help promote it.

During an interview with Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, Reedus opened up about some of his favorite kills on set. One of his most memorable was Michael Jordan inspired, and he then went through a short spiel to Colbert about how the idea came to life:

“For that one, Michael Satrazemis—our head DP—was like ‘I got an idea for this, I want you to jump off this one and come down like Michael Jordan.'” And I was like, ‘Yeah!’ and that turned out to be one of my favorites.”

For The Walking Dead fans, season 7 has no official premiere date, but a date in October is the most probable. For NBA fans, Game 3 of the NBA Finals kicks off tonight, June 8, at 9:00 PM EST.
