Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has his fingerprints all over pop culture, and he’s blessing us with new shoes and new music next month.

Last October, Damian Lillard delivered us “The Letter O,” his debut rap album. A couple of months later, in December, the Oakland native dropped his third signature sneaker with Adidas, the Dame 3.

It’s been about a year, and the 27-year-old took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm the release of his sophomore album, “CONFIRMED,” and his latest sneaker, the Adidas Dame 4. Both will be here on Oct. 6.

Lillard, who goes by Dame D.O.L.L.A on wax, got above average reviews on his debut project. HipHopDX gave it a 3.4 out of 5, which isn’t too bad for a professional ballplayer who goes bar-for-bar with Lil Wayne on “Loyal To The Soil.” The project also featured Jamie Foxx and Juvenile, among others.

The Dame 3 was also received nicely. Nightwing2303 of Weartesters.com called in an “absolute beast on-court,” and that’s pleasant feedback for a sneaker that retails at $115.

I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond excited for Dame’s upcoming album. His debut blew me away, and, not only is he the best rapper in the NBA, he raps better than some of the hottest acts in music right now. As for the shoes, I don’t think I’ll be copping. That’s not to say they’re going to be bad, but I’m not the guy who has a rotation of on-court sneakers.

Regardless, Adidas has been putting out incredible products lately, and I don’t see them faltering with one of their most outstanding athletes.
