It was Dame Time in Denver Saturday night, and Damian Lillard capped off his 37-point evening with a floater that gave the Trail Blazers the 115-113 victory over the Nuggets.

Lillard took Kenneth Faried off the dribble and softly floated the game-winning over his outstretched arms to give the Portland Trail Blazers the lead with 0.3 seconds left.

Those were the final two of his 37 points, and he chipped in five rebounds and seven assists on 15/27 shooting in 41 minutes.

Lillard has now gone for 37-plus in two of the three games so far this season, and he’s made it clear that he is, undoubtedly, one of the premier stars in the NBA. Helping him was backcourt mate C.J. McCollum, who went for 23 points on 10/25 shooting with ten rebounds; he stepped up big on defense with three steals and three blocks.

Mason Plumlee (13), Allen Crabb (12), and Evan Turner (11) all reached double-figures and helped push the Blazers over the edge.

Al-Farouq Aminu was also huge, and the former Demon Deacon hauled in 12 rebounds and swatted three shots in 32 minutes of action.

Denver’s high-scorer was Nikola Jokic, who tallied 23 points and ten rebounds; Emmanuel Mudiay wasn’t far behind with 21 points of his own.
