Yeah, the Phoenix Suns‘ 20-year-old has the sixth-most points in a game in the history of the league.

It looked very bleak for the Suns at the start of the game, and they hovered around the 18-20-point deficit for a good while. And then Booker went unconscious and scored 51 in the second half. He’s not turning 21 until the end of this coming October making him the youngest player to score 60 and easily the youngest player to score 70.

It took him 45 of the 48 minutes to do so, but his efficiency was tremendous, despite how much effort he needed to exert. Booker buried 21-of-40 shots from the field and 24-of-26 from the free throw line. His worst showing was from three where he finished just 4-of-11(??).

Just for good measure, he threw in eight rebounds and six assists.

For the Suns, the most important part of this is that the tank isn’t ruined and they’ve dropped to 22-51 on the year, keeping them in the third-worst record slot.

Going beyond all of the tanking garbage, it was a sensational showing by a player who’s struggled all season after coming alive at the end of his rookie year. He’s scored more points than LeBron James and Michael Jordan, just to name two, and only Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Thompson, Elgin Baylor and David Robinson have scored more.
