There haven’t been too many things for the Knicks organization to be happy about lately. Having fallen to 13th in the East with a 25-37 record, you can tell that frustrations are building. Since the start of February, Carmelo Anthony is averaging 22.3 points on 39.6% shooting from the field and the Knicks have only won two of their 12 games played over that stretch.

Tuesday, when the Trailblazers and boiling backcourt brothers Damian Lillard & C.J. McCollum came to the Garden, the Knicks lost. Again. Anthony netted 23 points on 10/20 shooting, and added in 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and a block, but got into it with a fan after the shellacking. This excerpt is from the New York Post.

“He kept calling my name, calling my name, said you guys suck, you guys suck,’’ Anthony said. “At that point, I was trying to gather myself. I turned around and all I did was pointed to Dolan. I told him, ‘Look, the owner’s right there, ask for your money back.’ At that point, he told me he wasn’t coming to another game. You just don’t want to hear that. I pointed to the owner and told him, ‘Look, you deal with that with him and see if you can get your money back.’ ’’

He released an apology today, saying how he shouldn’t have acted that way and such. Why’d he drag the owner into it to begin with? Not too sure, all I know is that Knicks fans like Dolan as much as Jets fans liked Jon Idzik.

On a more humorous note, ‘Melo was spectacularly rejected in last night’s contest. It wasn’t by Mason Plumlee or Noah Vonleh, but by the MSG rim.

Yes, Carmelo Anthony, who is only 31, got rejected on a dead ball dunk attempt.

It’s very symbolic of the Knicks 2015-16 season — a lot of potential followed by disappointment.
